System Restore

Hi what it is my system restore only backs up 1 month it won't go back any further.I did download firefox as my default browser could this affected it.I can create a restore point,but that goes after a month my computer is working OK apart from system restore.Windows xp home edition Sp 2 is what i got can you help thank you

System Restore uses a fixed amount of space on the hard drive. So when a new restore point is created, an old one is deleted. There is an option to increase or decrease the amount of space used by System Restore under Settings.

Hi its set 12%(M) is that OK.What does this mean I thought system restore you go back to when the computer was working better.I can restore back to the start of the month,on my sisters computer I can go back to September :thumbsup:
