IMO That was a rather snippy answer to a new member from a new member none the less. By the way, do we have a Mac forum, if we do please let me know where to find it so that if I have a problem I might post there because as far as I know we don't have a "MAC" forum.

Iodine

Why does it need to be in the mac forum? Navybudd's problem has nothing to do with the Mac OS, its a hardware issue.

I would try using CoconutBattery to see if your battery is able to hold a charge or not. You might just need a new battery. Powerbook Medic is a good place to look at.

Robert Isbell,
This is the proper forum for navybudd, to post his question.
It's not an OS problem, it's a Hardware problem.

Also, it's not your job to tell members, where to post their questions, which is a good thing, because you obviously don't know, either.
If you find a post, in what you think is the wrong forum, send a PM to a Moderator, with a link, and if necessary, we will move it.

My knowledge of Macs is zero. You say you tried a new charger. Is the charger separate from the laptop? Anyway you can check it to see if it's working? Do you have or can borrow a voltmeter?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits

Thanks for standing up for me guys. This website is a great place because everyone is here to help not hurt.
I will be able to get my hands on a multi-meter but I am sure that there is continuity with both chargers. What I am wandering is if the inputs are seperate and replacable or if the macs have a seperate power supply (or is it bulit into the motherboard.) Thanks for your time guys.
