Hi, I had ran several anti virus and spyware removal programs such as the spyware doctor, the f-secure anti virus and the microsoft security scanner, to remove the above trojan horses to no avail. All the programs were able to detect the malwares but even after applying their solutions, the malwares will appear again even after an immediate rescan of the system. The Trojan.virtumode seems to be removed after i used a program called VundoFix, but i'm not really sure.. so i included it in the topic title just in case. Below is my log file obtained using hijackthis. My exams are a few days away and i really need my com to be working properly and free from irritation to be able to study. Your help will be greatly appreciated!! THANKS!!

By the way, i did try disabling system restore and do all the scans again. But it just doesnt work! Please Please Please Help THANKS!!!!

Please do the following:

Download ComboFix
Save to the Desktop. <<<Important!!

Now, go to Start > Run, and copy/paste the following single line command in the Open box:

"%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe" /killall

Example:
Posted Image

Click:OK

Follow the prompts.
Then type 1 and press Enter to begin the scan.

Do not mouse-click the ComboFix window while it runs. It may cause it to stall.

When finished, a log, ComboFix.txt, is produced.

~~~~
Run HijackThis once again to obtain a new log.
~~~~
Please provide the contents of the ComboFix log , and the new HijackThis log in your reply.

In addition, the combofix link seems to be outdated and it prompts me to get an updated version. After that it auto uninstall. So what should i do now? Thanks for your help!!

I scanned my system using the spyware doctor again and found out that the trojan.virtumonde is still infecting my system. So i tried using VundoFix to scan and remove the files. However, while removing the files, my spyware doctor suddenly blocked alot of "attempts" that is trying to access certain files. Does this mean that spyware doctor is interfering with VundoFix?

After which, i tried rebooting the system and it hanged twice. When i finally got my system up and running, everything seems fine to me. There are no pop ups when i surf the net and when im not surfing the net (which happens to me before all those strange things happen). After running my spyware doctor, it suggests to me that there is no virus no trojans. If u read my first post, this had never happened after my com had been infected with the malwares, because everytime i scan my com, there will be indications of trojans.

Does this mean that my system is finally fine? (hopefully..) Below is a Hijack this log. Please enlighten me!! Thanks alot!

Please download SilentRunners to the Desktop
Right-click and select: Extract all
Double-click on SilentRunners.vbs

If an alert about scripting appears from your anti-virus, choose to allow the script to run.
When the scan is done, Notepad opens with a log which is saved in the SilentRunners folder.

~~~~
Please post the contents of the SilentRunners log in your reply.
SR will allow a more in-depth look of the system yo deermine if there is malware still lurking.
I have not been affected by malware ever since the strange events that happened as described in my previous posts. What do you mean by my anti virus program? You mean Norton? The subscription was up and so i uninstall it away. I am using the spyware doctor with anti virus program integrated. Do you think its good enough? If not i think i will go get some anti virus programs.
So is my computer finally Ok?? Thanks alot for your help!!
SpywareDoctor with AntiVirus: is this what you are using??
Also, there are still Symantec/Norton entries showing on the log.
Try the Norton Removal Tool to make sure all of it is gone.
Since ComboFix is back up, please delete the copy you have on the Desktop, and download a fresh copy from: Here
Once again, save to the Desktop <<<IMPORTANT !!!
Follow the prompts to install.
Then type 1 and press Enter to begin the scan.
Do not mouse-click the ComboFix window while it runs. It may cause it to stall.
When finished, a log, ComboFix.txt, is produced.
Please post the new ComboFix.txt in your reply.
Yes, i am using that Spyware doctor with AntiVirus.
Although i had uninstalled my Norton anti virus program, i am still using the Norton system works which take cares of the registry problems etc. So if i use the Norton removal tool, i will be removing the system work as well right?
As for the combofix, it auto-uninstalled itself when i first downloaded it. Please check my previous post. I said in my previous post that while attempting to open the program, there is a pop-up indicating that the combo fix was not up to date and after which it auto uninstalled. So do i still need to download the combo fix and install again?
Please clarify my doubts. Thank you!
Correct! Just make sure you are running only one AntiVirus program.
ComboFix: remove the copy you have, and download CF once again from the link already provided. (Post #9)
