Hello Joe, Welcome to BleepingComputer. If you still need help then please follow these directions.

1) Your HijackThis.exe needs a folder to store the backups and logs in. RIGHT click on a blank spot on the Desktop and create a NEW FOLDER. Drag the HijackThis and any logs laying around into that folder. Thanks.

2) Your overheating issue sounds like a hardware (fan) problem, I can't help you with that. Seems you have a Dell so if you will mention your model number I will see if I can direct you. You may also post at this forum to see if they can help after you are clean: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/7/internal-hardware/

3) I will help you clean out what malware I see and you can go from there. Thanks.

Scan with HijackThis and check the box in front of each of these line items:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://channels.aimtoday.com/search/aimtoolbar.jsp
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...://my.yahoo.com
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...//www.yahoo.com
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...rch/search.html
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://channels.aimtoday.com/search/aimtoolbar.jsp
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...//www.yahoo.com
O16 - DPF: {75D1F3B2-2A21-11D7-97B9-0010DC2A6243} (SecureLogin.SecureControl) - http://secure2.comned.com/signuptemplates/ActiveSecurity.cab
-VirTool.Win32.Collector

(if you fell comfortable doing so, you may remove any 016 - DPF (Downloaded Program File) that you do not know or no longer use. If you every go back to the site you would be prompted to download the cab file again)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows then click on "Fix Checked"

Clean Like this: Start, Run type "cleanmgr" without the quotes then ok. Check and remove anything windows locates. Empty the recycle bin and restart the computer. Use ADD REPLY to stay in this thread and post a new log along with any feedback you think we should have.

Thanks...pskelley
