I have a custom made laptop from pc club and have recently decided to burn a dvd. The problem is Nero 7 says it burns and by looking at the dvd itself it looks like it did, but when i put dvd back in drive my computer and Nero both say its blank. I've tried just to drag files in windows explorer to dvd drive, doesn't work. But I have no problems burning cdr's. Please Help.

One thing to try is a different burner program. We recommend a few here. A few people I know don't really hold a laptop DVD burner in high regards

It happened right at the end when burning was complete. Do you have any idea what it means?

Hm... this looks like a problem with the burner. Try inserting a blank DVD, then drag and drop items inside the Windows Explorer. If it does not work, you've got a hardware issue. If it does work, try another version/copy of Nero.

Another thought is that you were trying to put too much data on the disc. It is possible, but not recommended, to over-burn discs. Check to make sure you are using a disc that is compatible with your burner, like if your burner only uses DVD-R, don't try using DVD+R.

Peronsally, I'm using Nero 7 Ultimate Edition on my laptop running Windows XP, and I have had only minor problems. If all else fails, try using Ultra ISO to create an ISO file, then ImgBurn to burn it to a disk.

Hope this helps.

I would recommend you use http://www.cdburnerxp.se/home instead of nero.
