Hi, all of a sudden I can't save pics from the net onto my hard drive any more!
I right-click the pics as usual, then 'Save As', but I'm only given the option of saving as ART or BMP files, but no matter which I choose, the pic goes into the Pictures folder on my HD as a JPG icon and I can't open it, I get messages like 'incorrect file extension' or 'invalid format' etc.
What could have happened?
PS - I'm Win XP Home

I used to have this happen a lot when I was on XP. Usually I needed to close out my browser (all windows) and delete temporary files before restarting IE and saving images. If that didn't work, on occasion I would also have to reboot.

Hope this helps.
