i now figured out how to do a windows clean installation so i wanted to do one on my old dell desktop.
i think it's been 6 years. i had installed an xp on the desktop i had burned. i wanted all my files wiped clean but unfortunately i couldn't delete the partition. i don't know if the message "ultra bios is not installed" has anything to do with me not being able to get into bios but there when i start the computer i don't seem to see any help keys on the top corners that specify like setup, help

i tried pressing F8 F12 CTRL+ALT+ESC, CTRL+ALT+INSERT
i tried just holding down a key also. i just want to boot from the cd.

Did you try just tapping the DELETE key a few times once POST is over?

it is a dell dimension XPS t600r intel pentium III proccessor 598 MHz 128 Mb of ram..

i had just tried pressing delete and it worked!

but now since thebios steup is so old i don't know what to do to boot from the cd..
it says that it's a A08 BIOS VERSION.

I can also take a picture the bios setup if that helps?

One of the screens (usually the second one) offers various adjustments a user can make to the system. One of those should be boot options. Example:

You should be able to select the CD-ROM as the first device in the boot order in the CMOS set up.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
