Windows XP home
Norton
Live Update

Any help would be appreciated!

I cannot access secure sites and it started out of the blue.

I know this subject has been around and I have read most of the forums on the subject and done the trouble shooting. From Microsoft's website to every other computer forum I see the same information over and over. Seven methods...etc. Nothing has worked. Then someone in a similar forum on this site said that once they removed Norton 2004 (I have 2005) they were able to access secure sites again.

The problem is that I cannot remove Norton. When I go into remove programs it says I need to have the administrator logged on. But I never set up a password and I am an administrator for my computer. I can not make any changes to Norton in the main screen either. I can not turn on or off any features. I am sure my problem lies here. How do I get Norton uninstalled when I have no administrative access?

Thanks in advance
