HJT log, computer crashing constantly

OK, my computer crashes constantly, so bad that I've managed to get 1 clean scan of adaware before posting this log, and four attempts at running norton have all ended up in the automatic system shutdown blue-screen..you know, THAT screen. I've done a little research on your site and I've deleted what I could find, but I'm not comfortable modifying this 2 week old computer without a little proffessional insight. hijaklog is as follows:

I apologize if it's a little long, like I said, I could only get 1 ad-awareSE scan in out of the 4 forced reboots, I'll shut up now and post this before my comp crashes again!

PS I'm running on windows xp home and this is directly connected to the VDMT16.sys blue screen error, among a few others. if you need more info just ask

You are currently using hijackthis from a temp directory. This can cause problems. Please create a directory on your c: drive called c:\hijackthis and download and unzip hijackthis into that directory. Run the program from that directory from now on.

Print out these instructions and then close all windows including Internet Explorer.

Then I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button:

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drct16.dll

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode.

You have a Horseserver infection which requires some tools to get rid of.
  • First, download HSFix from here
  • After it is downloaded, create a new folder on your desktop called "HSFix" and extract all the files into the newly created folder.
  • Next, download CleanUp! Install it, but do not run it yet.
  • Boot into safe mode: Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.
  • Locate the HSFix folder on your desktop, open it, and double-click "hsfix.bat"
  • A log will be produced which you can close out of.
  • Then run HijackThis again, close any open windows and browsers and fix these:

  • Run CleanUp! and let it clean your computer of temp files. Decline when it asks you to log off.
  • Restart your computer into normal mode and run at least one of the following free, online virus scans:

    http://www3.ca.com/threatinfo/virusinfo/scan.aspx
  • Restart your computer one last time and post a new HijackThis log, as well as the HSFix log which is located at C:/hslog.txt
