Is this the entire log? Seems a bit short.

I just reinstalled xp pro on the computers and haven't put very much on them yet. But I am trying to activate my XP office pro on both of the computer and it wasn't accepting the activation code. Saying they had already been used. In the process of search the web I believe I picked up some spyware trash. Just want to get it checked out before I go any further. P.S. Any ideas what I can do to activate the two computers with the XP offive pro. If you can help me active them I will donate $15.00 to the site. Thanks again for your time and attention.

You are currently using hijackthis from a temp directory. This can cause problems. Please create a directory on your c: drive called c:\hijackthis and download and unzip hijackthis into that directory. Run the program from that directory from now on.

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = *hot-searches.com*;*lender-search.com*

Reboot and post a new log.

As for the Office XP activation, have you ever installed it on a previous computer?

You can fix these:

O9 - Extra button: Related - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Show &Related Links - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm

Reboot and post a new log.

As for the activation, according to microsoft when you buy office xp you are entitled to install it only on 1 computer. When you attempt to activate it on another computer, it is seeing that it has already been installed and giving you that error. There is not much I can do to get you around that problem
