I am looking for some help with a constant problem I am having while using aim. I keep getting an error message that reads "duplicate record.error:10005". I dont know if it is caused by aim or windows or malware. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you scanned your computer for malware?
Have you tried reinstalling Aim?

Here are two good programs to scan with.

Install Super Antispyware free. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Run the online scan for Bit Defender in normal mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.
