I've been having a whole lot of trouble with IE crashing. I've been told to replace it with firefox, because it's better than IE. Does anyone know if it's true? or How can I fix my system from crashing constantly?

Hello Gin63,

Have a look at Browser wars: Pick your top browser.
I personally prefer Firefox over IE.

If you are having problems with your computer crashing, please post a separate question in the Windows XP Home and Professional forum.
Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.

Lifehacker has a good though a tad old article on reasons to switch over to Firefox. You can also check out http://www.thebetterbrowser.com/ for user submitted reasons including the one we all have seen, It's not made by Microsoft!.

Over a quarter of our Members use Firefox as their browser of choice. It is often times faster, almost always safer, then IE6 or 7, and it is configurable through its hundreds of add-ons to meet your own particular needs.
Both functional and security updates are issued frequently, and the folks at Mozilla continually work at improving it.
I would never use anything else.
