When I grab a torrent link (not the content) [ really just a text file ],

it takes one or two minutes, whereas it use to take maybe 5 seconds.

Nothing else is newly slow on this old machine...

just an interminable wait on these simple small links to come down

( I have excellent download speed once I'm connected to the content)

thanks for any insight.....

It could just be that the site is busy.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

I appreciate your thoughts,

but,

this happens across multiple sites

( & with multiple types of small files , as in a 100kb jpgs, torrent links, etc.

It seems to be some sort of system lag on my end...

[but a large download comes down at routine speeds...]
