Domain Removal

Hi all
i have a machine that was once part of a domain and when logging on to windows it just logs back out again .....now when i plug the drive into my machine i have no problems accessing the drive but i need to remove the security policy on the drive or maybe simply remove it from the domain because i cant log on even under safe mode .....any ideas
