How can I change the background of the buttons on the menu bar in an xp active window from white to transparent. I have attached an example of the buttons with a white background?

Thanks for any suggestions

You would need to get some sort of theming application that would
decorate, if you will, the Window in question. Window Blinds is the only
one I''ve seen doing this in XP, but I'm sure there are some free options as
well.

Please search for wincustomize on the Wikipedia.org website. The first option
typically directs you to all of the relevant information. Keep in mind that
wikipedia may or may not be accurate.

Happy hunting.

Is this the standard appearance of these buttons in XP then as they seem to differ in different active windows and on different computers. My question was based on the assumption that the default setting for all menu buttons was transparent (ie they have the same grey background as the menu bar).

Thanks
