I have read a couple of threads re: this PCSecuritylab pop up. My question is can I simply follow the directions on how to remove this or is each case different? My puter is very slow and sluggish. I need some help please.

Thanx in advance.

Hello Hawg42, welcome to the forum.
You should really never follow advice for another PC as that repair is usually specific to their setup and may have undesireable consequenses towards yours.

If you're using XP or 2000 then print out and follow this BC Tutorial for SmitFraudFix. How to remove the Smitfraud/Generic Zlob.

Follow this by downloading and saving RogueRemover to your Desktop.

Double-click on rr-free-setup.exe to install in C:\Program Files\RogueRemover.
During the installation an icon will automatically be created on your Desktop.
Double-click on the RogueRemover icon to launch the program and select Check for Updates.
If prompted, click Download to receive the latest updates.
When completed, close the update window.
Select "Scan" and the program will walk you through the remaining steps.
