While viewing a DVD I downloaded, the sound for my Media Player was disabled. The downloaded file was an ISO image file which opened with Roxio Creator. Roxio Creator required me to burn the movie to a disc, which I did. The movie opened automatically with Windows Media Player. The movie played OK the first time, but after I tried to view it again there was no sound. Windows Media Player audio will not work for any other file either. It doesn't seem to be a hardware problem as all my other media players have audio. Also, the downloaded file will open only with Media Player. I downloaded the file from a trustworthy news group.

What type of file is written on the disk?

Did you get any kind of messages before or after the burn?

Try this and tell me if it works any.
