Good Morning all,

I am hoping some of you might have some suggestions for my problem. I have a COMPANY ISSUED, IBM X41 tablet with XP Pro installed for work.

After visiting some inapprorpriate sites, I got a message saying no OS found!!! I tried rebooting, but computer freezes before loading any settings. I do not have ADMIN settings, so I took matters into my own (very incapable) hands to try and fix it with out losing my job. I screwed it up even worse.

I had a friend with some recovery discks, so I loaded, and it worked to get me logged in. I tried to copy an entire hard drive from a coworkers laptop, then install it on my damaged laptop. It looked like it was working, but the stupid fingerprint software is saying no fingerprint found, and it doesn't recognize any passwords.

My question, Is there a way to properly DUPLICATE the hard drive off the computer that my company sent as a replacement (I had to report mine lost/stolen), and install it in the old laptop? If so, any instructions are appreciated.

Once I get it working, I can tell the company that the computer turned up, and send it back after cleaning all bad files off.

Thanks for your help!
