I rebuilt this PC and I can't get the onboard sound to work. I can't find the driver for the chipset, either... the make of the chipset is rather vague... I do get the Post beeps, though....

Everest just says that it is a AMD Athlon, 1400 MHz (10.5 X 133)...
Motherboard is Biostar M7VIF...
Motherboard ID: 03/01/2002-KT333-8233A-6A6LVB0FC-0

PC: VIA Technologies, Inc. KT333-8233

I can't seem to find the right drivers for this thing anywhere on AMD...

Try looking here at Biostar's web site: http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdownloads.asp?model=M7VIF
The name says it all -- 59 and holding permanently
