I continue to get "Security Center Pop ups from EM-Pc-Internet *. and EN-Pc- etc. Ihave run several programs that are supposed to get rid of this problem and intially made it worse with more pop ups. After getting rid of some of these programs, I am left with the intitial one. It pops up what looks like MS security center and tells me it will stop my internet if I don't run a scan and by default I guess, buy their program. I ignore it but it is a pain in the butt. Cannnot get rid of it. Have run HiJackThis and kept logs but seems as though this program is NOT part of my start services and Ihave been unable to locate it in my registry.

Help Please.... I know this program must have infected many pc's. I use a host of anti malware programs but this one got through somehow.

Help....Help.... Help

What OS (Win XP/2000, etc) are you using? What type of anti-virus are you using? Have you performed any anti-spyware scans? Have you tried doing your scans in "SAFE MODE"? Are you doing scans while logged into the "Administrator Account" or an "account with administrator privileges"?

You need to start there first.

You also said the bogus program looks like MS security center. Is there a name associated with it or what they want you to download?
