Welcome to BC
Can you be a little more specific? Do you mean to run and install a Windows 98 CD or a game or a program CD?

Download a Windows ME bootdisk from bootdisk.com. Put both the boot floppy and your 98 CD in the computer and reboot. You should be able to select "boot with CD Rom support"

All Windows cd's since 98SE are bootable

Sounds to me like you are infected by a Virus or malware
Further information would certainly be helpful!
In the beginning there was the command line.

My windows ME gives error message

He's running WinME guys.

A boot disk should have drivers in to allow you to access the CD Rom in DOS. :flowers:
