I'm sure my i'm infected. I opened a downloaded .zip file and found 2 files: HDAShCut.exe & info.txt.
I double clicked the .exe file (how stupid of me, don't know what I was thinking) and nothing seem to happen.
I looked in the .txt file an there was written: www.282934.com, nothing else.
Since then the problems started. My computer slowed down and became unstable, my internet access on this machine is blocked (I connect to the net with AnalofX proxy server through my other pc, that seems to be ok for the time being). I tried to run Spybot bot the SpybotSD.exe was disapeared. I copied and renamed the SpybotSD.exe from my other pc in the spybot program folder and located manually the exe. It run, i tried to perform a check but the programm freezed after a while. I can't do a system restore, when I try to run it nothing happens. I downloaded Adaware, runned it and it detected 2 threats:

win32.trojanproxy.agent.dl
win32.trojanproxy.small

then the scan froze too. I clicked on removal, restarted after that, runned a scan again and no threats were detected
but i still believe that something is wrong.
All day i've been looking in the net for a solution and now found this forum, hoping to get some help.
I read the FAQ, downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware Free Edition 7.5 and tried to install it. During the intallation (tried it 3 times)
I always got the message:
"Can't write: C:/Program files\Grisoft\AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5\guard.exe"
so i can't provide you a report from the AVG Anti-Spyware scan. The same with Panda Antivirus 2008. During the installation i get the message:
"Can't create output file: c:\documents\user\local settings\temp\WZSEO.TMP\files\32\sporder.exe"
and the installation is aborted.
AvertStinger does n't find anything on my disc.
Can someone help me please?
Here's my HijackThis logfile.

Welcome to the BleepingComputer HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum bp_gr
My name is Richie and i'll be helping you to fix your problems.

Enable the viewing of hidden files and folders:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-see-hidden-files-in-windows/

Please disable Spybot S&D’s protection,or it will interfere.
You can enable it later once you're system is clean.

Open Spybot and click on 'Mode' and check 'Advanced Mode'.
Click on 'Tools' in bottom left hand corner.
Click on the 'System Startup' icon.
Uncheck 'Teatimer' box and/or uncheck 'Resident'.
Click the 'Allow Change' box.
Then, check next to the computer clock to see if the icon for Spybot is still there.
If it is, right click it and choose 'exit Spybot-S&D Resident'.
Restart the computer.
If you find you're experiencing problems disabling Spybot's Tea-Timer,follow the info in the link below:
http://www.russelltexas.com/malware/teatimer.htm

Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE using the F8 method.
To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly.
A menu will appear with several options.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

Find and delete if present:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Settings\artm_new.dll
c:\windows\system32\stonedrv.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\testtestt.exe
C:\Windows\xpupdate.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskdir.exe

Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting 'Fix checked'.
Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [stonedrv] c:\windows\system32\stonedrv.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [System] C:\WINDOWS\system32\testtestt.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [stonedrv] c:\windows\system32\stonedrv.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [SystemTools] C:\WINDOWS\system32\testtestt.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [stonedrv] c:\windows\system32\stonedrv.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Windows update loader] C:\Windows\xpupdate.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [taskdir] C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskdir.exe
O21 - SSODL: DCOM Server 2236 - {2C1CD3D7-86AC-4068-93BC-A02304BB2236} - (no file)
O21 - SSODL: KAnMc - {18BD8767-B217-2DCD-7BE1-E07E55F4C685} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ydhz.dll (file missing)

Exit Hijackthis.

Restart your pc normally.

Download SDFix.exe and save it to your desktop:
http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.exe

* Double click on SDFix on your desktop, and install the fix to C:\

Please then reboot your computer into Safe Mode by doing the following:

* Restart your computer
* After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
* Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
* Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
* Choose your usual account.

* In Safe Mode,go to and open the C:\SDFix folder, then double click on RunThis.bat to start the script.
* Type Y to begin the script.
* It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
* Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
* Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
* When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
* Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt into your next reply.

If you have previously downloaded ComboFix,please delete that version now.
Now download Combofix and save to your desktop:
Note:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the entire contents of C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt unless I ask.
*NOTE*
In case your Antivirus or any other realtime scanner is displaying an alert after you downloaded Combofix or while you use Combofix, please disable your scanner and redownload Combofix again.
Some scanners may see some combofix related components as suspicious and block or delete them while there's nothing wrong with them.

Also post a new Hijackthis log please.

Hi RichieUK, thank you for your response - I really apreciate your help!

I started following your instructions:

1) Enabled the viewing of hidden files and folders,
2) Disabled Spybot S&D's protection,

but I can't get my computer into Safe Mode.

- The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears
- I select "Safe mode"
- A "select operation system" screen appears
- I select Wnidows XP (there is no other choice)
- The it starts loading lines of sys files and stops at agp440.sys, pauses for about 3 seconds and reboots.
- On rebooting the computer bleeps: 1 x long and 4 x short
- The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears again etc.

If I choose "start windows normally" everything seems to be o.k. and windows start as always.

???? Do you know what is happening ???

The it starts loading lines of sys files and stops at agp440.sys, pauses for about 3 seconds and reboots.

Check for a driver update for your video card on the manufacturers website.

If still no joy, forget the Safe Mode part of the above instructions,do the following:

Please download OTMoveIt by OldTimer:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/oldtimer/OTMoveIt.exe

Save it to your desktop.
Please double-click OTMoveIt.exe to run it.
Copy the file paths inside the quote box below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose 'Copy'):

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Settings\artm_new.dll
c:\windows\system32\stonedrv.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\testtestt.exe
C:\Windows\xpupdate.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskdir.exe

Return to OTMoveIt, right click on the "Paste List of Files/Folders to be moved" window and choose Paste.
Click the red Moveit! button Posted Image

Copy everything on the 'Results' window to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose 'Copy'), and paste it into your next reply.
Close OTMoveIt

If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process.
If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

Now carry on with the rest of the steps starting at the Hijackthis instructions.

Good morning, RichieUK!
I updated my Nvidia drivers but stil can't get in safe mode.
I disabled AGP440.sys (following instructions from Microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324764),
but now safe mode will let it get to mup.sys before it restarts. I suspect this will be neverending...

Anyway, I continued with the OTMoveIt step. Here's the logfile:

LoadLibrary failed for C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Settings\artm_new.dll
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Settings\artm_new.dll NOT unregistered.
File move failed. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Settings\artm_new.dll scheduled to be moved on reboot.
File/Folder c:\windows\system32\stonedrv.exe not found.
File/Folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\testtestt.exe not found.
File/Folder C:\Windows\xpupdate.exe not found.
File/Folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskdir.exe not found.
Created on 11/04/2007 19:10:22

Then I let HijackThis fix the entries you wrote me. After that I restarted and made a new HijackThis log:

Good morning

You've no virus protection installed.
Download\install one of the following freeware options from the choice below.
Once installed update its definitions and then run a full system virus scan.

AVG7 Free Edition Antivirus:
http://free.grisoft.com/softw/70free/setup...ree_446a965.exe

Avast! 4 Home Edition:
http://files.avast.com/iavs4pro/setupeng.exe

Avira AntiVir Personal Edition Classic
http://www.free-av.com/

With you having Service Pack 2 installed i'm presuming you're using the Windows Firewall.
You may be behind a hardware firewall(router/NAT),but it would'nt hurt to install a third party software firewall to henhance protection.
A word of warning regarding the Windows Firewall in Service Pack 2,it only filters INCOMING traffic.
That means if malware happens to compromise your PC,it will be able to SEND OUT out your credit card data, and any other personal information.
I suggest you install a more robust third party firewall that filters both INCOMING and OUTGOING traffic.

Download\install one of the following freeware firewalls from below:

Sygate Personal Firewall Free Edition:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_sygate_personal_firewall/

Zone Alarm Free:
http://download.zonelabs.com/bin/free/1001..._737_000_en.exe

Comodo Personal Firewall:
http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/

Outpost Firewall Free:
http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpostfree/index.php

You should take the time to read the following:
Understanding and Using Firewalls
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/understanding-and-using-firewalls/

If you have previously downloaded ComboFix,please delete that version now.
Now download Combofix and save to your desktop:
Note:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Disconnect from the Internet.

Hi again, RichieUK!
About the firewall:
I connect to the net with AnalofX proxy server through my other pc, that uses norton internet security personal firewall. Do I still need a firewall on this machine? If yes, I will install it later, since my internet access is blocked by the trojan anyway.

About the antivirus:
I tried to install AVG7 Free Edition Antivirus an d got the message
"Local machine: installation failed. Installation: Error: Action failed for file avgamsvr.exe: creating file.... No such file or directory"

Then I stalled Avast! 4 Home Edition. after rebooting, I run the program and got the message
"Avast detected unauthorized modification of this program (C:/program files/Alwil software/Avast4/ashserv.exe)
Continouing can be dangerous. Run the program anyway?"
Of course I clicked "Cancel".

In the end I installed Avira AntiVir Personal Edition Classic, but after it the .exe disapeared.

The same had happened 2 days ago during the istallation of AVG Anti-Spyware Free Edition 7.5 ("Can't write: C:/Program files\Grisoft\AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5\guard.exe"),
Spybot (after installing the SpybotSD.exe disapeared)
and Panda Antivirus 2008 ("Can't create output file: c:\documents\user\local settings\temp\WZSEO.TMP\files\32\sporder.exe")

Anyway, I run Combofix and after 2 hours (!) it finished scanning and made a logfile. Do you want me to post it?

Here's the HijackThis.log I got after all that:
