This just started a couple of days ago. Evertything runs fine, no weird desktop, can do safe mode, but IE keeps shutting down. tried everything, I keep getting 'invalid long filename entry'. It tells me to run scandisk for windows, I do, but it's still there. HOW do I find it? Erase it? Fix it? Much thanks

Go to the root of your C: drive and open scandisk.log. You will need to open it with Notepad. In there you will find any errors encountered when you ran scandisk and hopefully the name of the file with the problem.
