I have a basic network setup between 2 computers. I can access the xp machine from the 2k machine. I can see all the files on the xp and transfer them to the 2k machine with no trouble.

I can see the 2k machine from the xp,but as soon as I attempt to access it,it calls for a password. I ve never had a password set up on this machine. I had the 2k set up on another network with different computer with XP and never had any trouble.

Is this possible caused by the XP computer?? I m baffled. And I m not very computer literate.

Thank you very much for any and all assistance.
