This is my first post here at Bleeping Computer, so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong forum.
I have a two-year-old IBM R50e laptop. Here are its specs:
Intel Celeron M 1.3 Ghz
512 MB RAM
64 MB Video RAM
Microsoft Windows XP Sevice Pack 2
I recently downloaded and installed the ThinkVantage System Update 3 from the Lenovo website. Then it dowloaded and installed almost 130 MB worth of updates for my computer. Of course, I let the program do its thing and finish.
After that, I noticed that my start-up was painstakingly slow. I saw a ridiculous number of start-up processes running.
I hope someone could take a look at my log and tell me which processes I need to keep. As for those processes which are not needed, please tell me how I can get rid of those in my start-up. Further, if some processes are caused by "system hogs", please direct me to where I could find lighter alternatives.
Here's my log:
