Not sure what the problem is.
Super Antispyware has had success removing Antivirgear.

Install Super Antispyware free. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Are you following the generic instructions for using SmitfraudFix in BC's self-help tutorial "How to remove the Smitfraud/Generic Zlob"?
(scroll down to where it says Removal Instructions)

Is Smitfraudfix on your desktop? If not, redownload smitfraudfix (it was updated today), save to your desktop and try running it again. Also make sure you did not dowload and use a old zipped version. If your still having problems getting the tool to work, then go ahead and run it in normal mode.
