Sorry if this is going to sound dumb, but I've been searching for days now and still no explanation.

ADSL/512/1024 contract.

IP address - such as - - what does it mean?

Please dont hit me with the theory of binay codes and their translation and priorities and subjugations or whatever! That's all I can find on the web and it means nothing to me.

What does 125 represent? Is it the country coding? The international ISP's allocated address? What?

What does 24 represent? Maybe this is my ISP provider?

And the 131? Is this my local ISP? Is this the pipe that I'm located on? Is it some kind of area coding?

And the 11? I read somewhere that this was how many other computers are sharing my ADSL line with me.

Would someone be kind enough to explain these things to me?

Thanks in advance,
