Welcome to BC
Where exactly is it hanging up? The boot up screen or the Windows welcome screen?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

Are the multiple users on this machine? After you 're logged in and can use XP, go to the Event Viewer and give us the last 2 listings
using Event Viewer

as you suggested...Thanks again for your help Mark. :thumbsup:
