Hi,

I;ve read the preparation guide post and was trying to do it but my antivirus wont let me download the hijackthis exe file. This is a works laptop and i dont have admin rights, is there anything i can do? Is this something i should be passing onto my internal IT team. I woul rather sort it myself as getting a virus on the laptop in the first place is not going to make me look good.

I am very seriously hoping i can rectify this on my own without anyone needing to fni out.

thanks for any advice.

rob.

If you have an IT Team, then you need to go through them. They have security policies in place for a reason and thats why admin rights have been restricted.

Per the BC Discussion/Message Boards Rules, discussing methods of bypassing security measures is prohibited. Specifically this rule:

No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures. If a user persists and/or the activity is obviously illegal the staff reserves the right to remove such content and/or ban the user.

This topic will be closed as we will not allow the discussion of circumventing any security safeguards to continue within this forum just because you don't want them to find out.

If you have any questions, please PM me or another Moderator.
