Problem With Yahoo Messenger

hi! i have been having problems with yahoo messenger. it signs out and in frequently on its own.what could be wrong with it? how do i rectify this fault. thank you plenty in advance.

Do you get any error messages when this happens, does it happen with any other IM application you are using? Does the dialogue box remain on your screen and there is no response when you type a message?
There could be many explanations for what is happening, so adding a little more explanation of the problem would perhaps help narrow down the cause.
