Hey guys i just bought a 8800 GTS 640Mb video card today and i set it up, installed the drivers. but for some reason its supposed to have direct X 10... on the cd the only option is install Microsoft Direct X 9... So i did that i have version 9.0c.... Wheres direct X 10??.... it clearly says it on the box... Even when i run a dxdiag in run... it shows the following
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904).... So wheres the directx 10 at? unless version 9.0c is 10. O.o... Is this because i need Windows Vista? for it to be directx 10?

Anyways sorry for the confusing it'd be nice if someone could clear this up for me.. Thank you

in order to get directx 10, you'll need to get and install windows vista since directx 10 isn't compatible with any other operating system currently on the market.
