This week I can get said video card for $150.00 but I was thinking if I wait till next month shouldn't the prices drop more since nvidia should be releasing something new? Also does anyone know any info on what exactly nvidia is going to be releasing, I've heard 8900, 8700, and 9 series so I'm not sure what to believe.

I assume funds are a little low at the moment, if so I'd forget about purchasing any 9 Series cards from Nvidia, these will be very expensive!! At the moment, geforce 8800's are superb for current games (Bioshock, Crysis etc), if newer cards were to come out, then the price of the 8800's should drop.

However, $150 for a 8600 GT isn't too bad, I have the XfX 8600 GTS XXX version, and it runs Dirt, Painkiller and Prey quite well at high res.

Hope that helps.
