Hi - I truly am a beginner, so please bear with me! For the past four years, my computer had an Internet connection through my university Ethernet network. Now I have moved on, and need to use a dial-up connection from my home. When I tried to dial-in, a message popped up that said my computer does not recognize a modem. Any suggestions for what I could have missed - or done wrong - in the process of moving trying to change the connection?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Do you know if you have a modem in your machine?

Yes, I do - I remember that much from when I originally set up the machine. Someone at the computer help desk at my school said it could possibly be a problem with drivers not being installed correctly?

Have you gone to the manufacturers website and seen if you could download the driver for your computers modem?
