Posted 15 October 2007 - 10:08 PM

I hate to ask for help, but I am just about to go crazy over this.

I downloaded by accident, avsystemantivirus, since then I have had an insane amount of malware/spyware/virus, on my computer. These include cyberlog-x, psw.xir.trojan, vondu, netword-ivirus, w32.myzor, and a couple others. I've tried everything from running my norton antivirus and a few different spyware programs, including smitfraud. They all say they removed them but then they keep coming back (system restore is always off).

My computer only runs well in safe mode (with networking), and when I try to run it normally it is so slow it doesn't let me do anything, including running any programs.

I am using Windows 2000 XP, and have downloaded hijackthis, that's how I found you guys. Any help would be greatly appreciated, here is my log file from hijack this (NOTE: MY COMP DOES NOT LET ME COMPLETE MY SCAN WITH HIJACK THIS OR RUN ANY OTHER PROGRAMS IN NORMAL MODE):

Hi and welcome,

Sorry for delay.
Because you are in 'diagnostic mode' I can't see what is going on.
let's see what this tool tells us.

Download Deckard's System Scanner to your Desktop.:

http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/Deckard/dss.exe
http://deckard.geekstogo.com/dss.exe

Close all applications and windows.
Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
When the scan is complete, a text file will open - Main.txt
Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of Main.txt here.
A folder, C:\Deckard\System Scanner, will also open. In it will be another text file, Extra.txt.
Please attach Extra.txt to your post.

Note: some firewalls may warn that sigcheck.exe is trying to access the internet - please ensure that you allow sigcheck.exe permission to do so.

To attach a file to a new post, simply
Click the[Manage Attachments] button under Additional Options > Attach Files on the post composition page, and
copy and paste the following into the "Upload File from your Computer" box:

C:\Deckard\System Scanner\Extra.txt

Click Upload.

What DSS will do:
--create a new System Restore point in Windows XP and Vista.
--clean your Temporary Files, Downloaded Program Files, and Internet Cache Files, and also empty the Recycle Bin on all drives.
--check some important areas of your system and produce a report for your analyst to review.
--System Scanner automatically runs HijackThis for you, but it will also install and place a shortcut to HijackThis on your desktop if you do not already have HijackThis installed.

Post also this log please:

C:\Vundofix.txt

might take 2 posts to get both logs in.

Thanks

ps. Not advisable to be online while in diagnostic mode or safe with networking for any legnth of time.
During these modes you have no active firewall or antivirus protection.
Keep offline whenever possible till we figure out whats happening and can fix it.
I'll have an order of massive trojan attack please with a side order of rootkit and virus dip.
Pre-course order of fresh spyware salad please with a side order of polymorphic dressing.
And to drink...a nice tall glass of adware!

For dessert; can I have a bowl of the freshest worms you have please?.

Never Give Up!

If you are happy with the service I provided, please consider making a donation to help me continue the fight against Malware Posted Image
