Hi. I hope you can help me here. AVG did a scan the other day and it found the Downloader.Zlob and it said it repaired/deleted it, but it is supposedly a nasty one so I would like more confirmation. I did all the stuff I was supposed to do before posting my HJ log and Housecall found Adware.Pigsearch on my computer again (my first bleepingcomputer problem).

ETA: AVG just popped this up

Hello Dang_It,

The screenshot you posted is in System Restore and not a threat. We can clear that out so you won't get that message anymore.

Click Start Menu > Run > type (or copy and paste)

%SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe

Press OK. Choose Create a Restore Point then click Next. Name it ( something you'll remember) and click Create, when the confirmation screen shows the restore point has been created click Close.

Next goto Start Menu > Run > type

cleanmgr

Click OK, Disk Cleanup will open and start calculating the amount of space that can be freed, Once thats finished it will open the Disk Cleanup options screen, click the More Options tab then click Clean up on the system restore area and choose Yes at the confirmation window which will remove all the restore points except the one we just created.

To close Disk Cleanup and remove the Temporary Internet Files detected in the initial scan click OK then choose Yes on the confirmation window.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Thanks,
tea

Hello,

You're welcome.

No sign of Smitfraud/Zlob. Have you run AVG to see if you're still getting the alert? If not, please do so and let me know.

Thanks,

Hello again, Tea.

AVG scanned last night and showed this, but I'm thinking it is just the SmitFraudFix program, right?

Posted Image

Nothing other than that though.

You are correct.

Any other problems? You can delete SmitfraudFix, if you haven't already..
