Beeping Computer/no Picture

The computer starts up, beeps about every 5 seconds for about 2 seconds, I get no picture on the monitor(I tried the same monitor on this computer and it works.) The tower has 2 monitor plugins neither work.

Its a WinXP,Sony Vaio.

I couldn't thing of anything else to add to get help, if there's something I need to add please tell.

If you have the user manual see if it lists the beep codes. These generally are error codes indicating that something has failed in the POST. Without the BIOS manufacturer and version I can't find any information on the error codes.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

How many beeps?

Not sure this is your BIOS, but take a look anyway (to get some ideas of how to troubleshoot your issue): http://www.gen-x-pc.com/beep_codes.htm
