I'm getting this message, "The iTunes Library.itl is locked, on a locked disk, or do not have write permissions for this file." I have a Windows XP Pro. I have also looked at the iTunes file in My Computer and the "Read Only" isn't checked. I have been away on vaction for a week and when I got back this message just popped up, no idea why, thanks for you help.

I have looked to make sure that all the files under \My Documents\My Music\iTunes doesn't have the "Read-Only" checked and none of the files do, and I'm still getting this same problem.

Hello Lances,

Maybe this will help:

iTunes for Windows XP: "Disk is locked" or "iTunes folder cannot be found" when installing or opening iTunes:

Well, I have finished what Apple recommends for fixing this issue and still locked. I downloaded the Tweak UI and still nothing and I tried reinstalling iTunes still nothing. iTunes still works fine on the other two accounts on this computer. So some how my setting have become corrupt. Any other ideas? Thanks.
