I have Paperport 7.0 deluxe & run Windows 98 SE

Paperport worked fine until recently but now, when opening the program & it loads to app 97% I get the following error message: "This program has performed an illegal operation"
Details: PAPRPORT caused an invalid page fault in module RPCRT4.DLL at 01a7:7fbd0894.

  • I've reinstalled the program
  • I've downloaded RPCRT4.DLL but can't put it in Windows system - as the existing one is already being used by Windows
  • I've downloaded 2 service packs from Nuance
......but no difference :flowers:

I'm wondering if I've downloaded something or something has installed itself on my PC which has suddenly caused this fault - but I'm not sure of the exact date when the problem began!!

I'd really appreciate some help!!!
