Received this via the Contact Us page and thought it may be useful to someone else and posted it:

Medion MD 9570 Graphics Tablet won't work with Vista Home Premium.
Medion Support told Don they did not have a VISTA upgrade for this tablet. After a little searching I came up with this, it works great.

Go to: www.aiptek.com
Click 'Support'
Click 'Driver & Manual Downloads'
Click 'Hiper Pin 5000'
Click 'Hiper Pin 6000 for Vista OS
(same as 5000 tablet)
Click 'Drivertablet V 3.15.zip'
About 4.12 megs.

Thanks Don for the tip!

Thank you for this info. I just got one of these tablets used and could not get it to work right on my Vista machine.

Just a note for anyone else using this replacement driver pak:

Make sure you click GRAPHIC mode in the PEN PAD app if you want the tablet/pen combo to function like a mouse. Only then do you get mouse functionality and dialog to remap the pen buttons.

Also works for Windows 7.

This saved my day! Thanks!

aiptek.com changed their site, so the described way is not accurate anymore. Now you have to go to:
  • Support -> Downloads
  • Select "Graphics Tablets" as Product Category and HyperPen 6000U as Produc.
  • The Driver at the bottom is for Windows XP, Vista and 7.

Alternatively your can just click this link: ftp://ftp.aiptek.de/FTP_HMP/DriverTabletV3.15_HP6000U_W7.zip (was not working today, since it demanded a password, but the support hotline confirmed that they are working on it and that the problem first occurred today). I downloaded the driver at: http://www.goaiptek.com/drivers/driverfiles/DriverTabletV3.15.zip (tested for viruses: http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/goaiptek.com/downloads/8585271/ and has the same hash as the same driver from other download sites: f5523ec2692d5dd7735a2bdf13bf6655 , I like to double check drivers I did not download from the company directly).

To bad Don didn't leave an email or account. This would have been a few bucks via Paypal or Flatter to me. Anyway, thanks for sharing Don!
