I've got some kind of adware/tracking spyware on my laptop and I have no idea how to get rid of it...

While I'm on the internet it creates pop-ups based on what I look at (i.e. I go on MySpace or Facebook and adverts appear for dating websites). When they first appear it says 'intellitrack' on them so I assume this is the name of it. It's not like a normal piece of spyware coz I can't get rid of it with SpyBot or AdAware.

Before I format my computer... Has anyone got any suggestions?

Not real sure what you are dealing with.
Assuming that the problem is in Internet Explorer browser.....
Check your addons in your IE browser.
Check under "tools" if the popup blocker is activated.
Block "third party cookies" in IE by following the directions in the link below.
After blocking the third party cookies, you will need to remove the existing cookies from your computer. Use CCleaner or Adaware or delete manually.
Remove temporary files, logs, cookies, etc. by using Ccleaner. Do not use "Advanced Settings" or the "Issues" button. Use only the default settings. http://www.ccleaner.com/

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.
