Hi Lauren_Marie, Welcome to BC!

Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.

1. Close all applications and windows.
2. Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
3. When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt<-this one will be minimized
4. Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt and the extra.txt to your post in your reply.

We need to disable your Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.

Open Windows Defender.
Click on Tools, General Settings.
Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.

After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.

Next

1. Please open HijackThis and choose do a system scan only. Check the boxes next to ONLY the entries listed below:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Daily Weather Forecast] C:\Program Files\Daily Weather Forecast\weather.exe

2. Now close all windows other than HijackThis, then click Fix checked. After which, close HijackThis.

3. Using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to "Explore"), please delete these folders (if present):

C:\Program Files\Daily Weather Forecast

Next

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Please click this link-->Jotti

When the jotti page has finished loading, click the Browse button and navigate to the following file and click Submit.

C:\Windows\System32\39.dll

Please post back the results of the scan and new HijackThis log in your next post.

If Jotti is busy, try the same at Virustotal: http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html

Using Windows Search (to get there click your Start button and go to "Search"). After you get to the Search Window,
  • Click on "All files and folder"
  • Click on "More advance option", check on the following:
    • Search system folders
    • Search hidden files and folders
    • Search subfolders
  • In "All or part of the file name:" textbox, copy
    • 39.dll
  • And paste in the textbox
  • Click on the Search button
If the file(s) is found, take note of the location of the file. Direct jotti/Virustotal to the found location.

Please post a new HijackThis log as well in your next log.
