Problem With My Webcamera

Hi,

i have problem with my webcamera.

I have some unbranded webcamera with no cd.

I pluged to my laptop and windows found it HP Basic starter camera.

software installed but i cannot use my camera. It says The Device cannot start (code 10).

Now what is the problem??????

My OS - windows Vista but it did neither worked in xp

Help needed

I assume there are NO markings at all on the camera? Did this camera come with you PC? If so what make, model is your PC?

There is a possibllity that it's a HP camera however why dont you head over to HP's website and look at their cameras and see if you can see yours?
If all else fails, hit the reset button.

I got this camera free on buying laptop.

This is not hp camera yah windows recognised it as hp basic starter camera.

This is an external camera

Just come questions:

- Where did you buy your computer?
- If you brought it from an online store do you have a link for the deal/laptop you brought?
- What make and model is your laptop?
- If you can take a picture of your webcam and post it on here some of the members might recognise it.
