Posted 04 October 2007 - 09:37 AM

I followed all instructions with regard to the "AntVirGear" removal and ran the different Free Scans countless times and succesfully removed the anoying icon that was on my startup tool bar, (Thank You)

But now, another icon on the toolbar has appeared and, (Yellow, Blinking Triangle with !)

If I click on it, a page that I think is called Goldenspy comes up, all the while popups continue to appear.

Mostly popups about, Computer Spyware and popups about Buying softwre that will prevent attack and anoying popups and of course some porn.

(This activity all happened after I clicked on what I thought was a "Critical Windows Update" or after clicking on a window stating I needed an update to watch a video clip on a celebraty website)

(When I run the "Spybot" I always see Zlob. coming up and Mediaplex, System Doctor as well as other things I can't remember.

Your Help would be Truly Appreciated as I work from home on this computer and am unable to be productive.

Thank You;

Welcome to the BleepingComputer HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum DeBgDr
My name is Richie and i'll be helping you to fix your problems.

Please download OTMoveIt by OldTimer:

Save it to your desktop.
Please double-click OTMoveIt.exe to run it.
Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose 'Copy'):

C:\Program Files\Common Files\SystemDoctor
C:\Program Files\Online Video Add-on

Return to OTMoveIt, right click on the "Paste List of Files/Folders to be moved" window and choose Paste.
Click the red Moveit! button Posted Image

Copy everything on the 'Results' window to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose 'Copy'), and paste it into your next reply.
Close OTMoveIt

If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process.
If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.

If you have previously downloaded ComboFix,please delete that version and download it again from below.
Download Combofix and save to your desktop:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the entire contents of C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt unless I ask.

Also post a new Hijackthis log please.
