"The application or DLL C:\windows\system32\desk.cpl is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."

Does anyone know what the problem is? I discovered the problem when I attempted to change my desktop photo. XP PRO SP2

Try this

Go to Start > Run and type:

sfc /scannow

You will probably need to have your windows cd handy. Let us know how it goes.
