THere is something wrong with my AUnt's computer. Whenever she goes to turn the computer a screen comes up that dsiplays the option to Enter Safe Mode, Start up wiht last known good configuation or normal mode.

THe problem is that when you select any one of these it acts like it is going to start up, but then it resets and returns to the option screen again. What, if any thing can be done?

Your best bet at this point is to boot up with the XP cd in the drive and choose the repair option and see if that will fix it. There is a chance it will wipe her configuration so she will have to reinstall applications, but all her data will still be available

That is what I was thinking. Hopefully she can find her CD.

Thanks
