Heya,

Since I print a lot I'm planning on buying a Laser Printer... I have ZERO knowledge regarding them (other than you need a toner and I know how to work the toner and such)....

How long does the Toner last? Also any suggestions on any semi-decent and cheap one? Yeah I dun have much spare money at the moment... hmmm I'm Canadian so Futureshop, Best Buy and The Source in Windsor, Ontario are accessible to me

But I can also cross the border to the US, DEARBORN in MI.... so any store in that city is okay with me.... Hope someone can help me out here... and thanks ^^

I like the Samsung printers. The black and white lasers a relatively inexpensive, as are the color one's - and I haven't had any issues with the 3 that I've got (the color at home, and 2 black and white's at the wife's office). They've also got drivers for Vista if you happen to be upgrading to it down the road a bit.

Can you suggest a specific number or a range of models (since I think there may be many within a series or something)

And thanks

K what is your opinion on the following then maybe? Any good? Which is better? BTW I only need a monochrome one (black and white) that can just print a whole load of paper (lecture notes) - nothing fancy like "postcards" or any other modes...

I have a black and white Brother laser and had no problems for a year and a half. At least with the Brother, the tone cartridge that's shipped with the printer is about 2/3ds full. The specifications page where you order should tell you how many pages to expect from a cartridge, or check out the mfg's website

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

We had the HP laser at the wife's office and it died shortly after the warranty expired. We've had the Samsung's for several years now without any issues.

Would you say that the resolution on that printer is good (for the Samsung) 'cause it's 1200x600 dpi as opposed to the HP which has 1200x1200 dp

Let me know if it's worth it ^^ And thanks
