Hi all,
My PC seems to be infected by a spyware. Hope anyone can help show me to steps to remove it.

The Home Page has been changed to a big red “X” screen with a message : “Warning Spyware Detected on your PC… ! Possible spyware infection has been detected. Click here to scan your PC for spyware…….”
The html is traced to C:\windows\system32\spywarewarning.mht”

On the desktop right corner end, every few minutes it will pop out a message: “Windows security alert. Your computer is not protected against spyware! Spyware able to steal you data including passwords, credit card numbers etc. Scan your computer immediately”
Clicking it will lead me to certain website: //gomyhit.com/MTc5NDc=/6396/ax=1/ed=1/ex=1/bdnktynmdgtryy
(PLEASE DO NOT CLICK!)

My McAfee Viruscan with scan engine 5200, Adware software, super antispyware and AVG software doesn’t seems to be able to detect it.

Appreciate one of the experts here could advise me as soon as possible.

Following is my hijackthis log, hopefully someone can advise how to cure my PC:

Welcome to the BleepingComputer HijackThis Logs and Analysis forum chenzln1
My name is Richie and i'll be helping you to fix your problems.

Your version of Sun Java is out of date.
Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system.
Please follow these steps to remove older versions of Sun Java, and then update.
1. Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
2. Scroll down to where it says 'Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 update 3'.
3. Click the "Download" button to the right.
4. Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
5. The page will refresh.
6. Click on the link to download 'Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language' and save to your desktop.
7. Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
8. Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
9. Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
10. Click the Change/Remove button.
11. Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
12. Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
13. Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u3-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.

If you have previously downloaded ComboFix,please delete that version now.
Now download Combofix and save to your desktop:
Note:
It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop

Close any open browsers.
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the entire contents of C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running.
That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt unless I ask.

Also post a new Hijackthis log please.

Copy and paste the following text in the Quote box below into Notepad.
Click on File(in the menu at the top)>Save as../Save as Type: 'All Files' /File name: fix.bat to your desktop.
Then double click on the fix.bat file on your desktopPosted Image
You'll see a black screen flash,thats normal.

@echo off
sc stop Alertersrservice
sc delete Alertersrservice

Restart your pc.

Copy and paste ALL the following text in the Quote box below into Notepad.
Click on File(in the menu at the top)>Save as../Save as Type: 'All Files' /File name: CFScript to your desktop.

File::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\acluie.exe
C:\Program Files\system3.exe
Registry::
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupfolder\C:^Documents and Settings^CTH^Start Menu^Programs^Startup^PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg\helper.dll]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg\Load]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run-disabled]
"zt"=-
[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mountpoints2\{30c7e150-2169-11db-a04a-00137216e0ae}]

Now drag then drop the CFScript file onto ComboFix.exe as seen in the image below.

This will start ComboFix again.
After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply along with a new HijackThis log.

Hi Richie,
I had performed the "fix.reg" part as advised.
However for the "activescan" part, I am having problems as my net connection for that PC is on 56K modem.
Downloading took some time, so i waited over 3 hours but halfway (maybe 1900 seconds left) through the scan the the scan hanged. (not the PC).
Is there any ways to scan it? Maybe downloading the installation somewhere with faster net connection and transfer it to the the affected PC possible? or other options ?
I tried my Yahoo mail page (havent login) it can't seems to load finish. Only the Yahoo words at the top of the screen came out. Is my IE damaged too? I went to normal sports sites like soccernet.com. skysports.com, it was ok.
Please kindly advise.
Thanks
chenzln

Is my IE damaged too?

Lets find out:
If you have the MS Windows XP install disk.
Click Start>Run,type sfc /scannow then press Ok.
Leave a space in between sfc and /scannow
Reboot when you've done.

Download the following using a different pc with a fast internet connection and save them to cd/flash drive etc:
Download the Sysclean Package (3.1MB):
http://www.trendmicro.com/download/pattern-dcs.asp

Download the latest Virus Pattern File for Windows (lpt771.zip) (24.3MB):
http://www.trendmicro.com/download/viruspattern.asp

Now on your pc,first make sure you're logged on to your pc as Administrator,or at least logged on using an account with administrators privileges.

Create a new folder on your desktop, rename it Sysclean.
Now place the Sysclean Package you downloaded earlier, into that new folder .
Unzip/extract the Virus Pattern File you downloaded earlier,to that new folder.

Close all open applications, and DISABLE your current antivirus software.
Open the Sysclean folder and double-click on sysclean.com to start the scan.
It will take some time to complete.
Be patient and let it clean whatever it finds.
Exit when done.

Open your Sysclean folder then copy and paste the contents of sysclean.log in your next reply.
Also post a new HijackThis log.

so should i re-install IE or other advise?

Running sfc /scannow would have repaired IE.

After verifcation, I rebooted PC, seems to have no further messages.....
However i still could not login into yahoo or another mail service on this PC...

If Mcafee came with a personal firewall try temporarily disabling it.
Turn off the Windows Firewall if its turned on.

Is my PC considered clean now, or are there any more advise?
Although i still could not login into yahoo or another mail service on this PC, any other processes seem normal.
Thanks in advance.

Dear Richie,
Thanks for your message again.
I had done as advised. Thanks.
As for the problem regarding the yahoo mail login, I had upgraded my IE to IE7, and everything seems ok now.
BTW do i need to remove the software i had installed earlier like sysclean or cleanup etc?
Thanks for your help.
Appreciated your valuable time.
Regards
chenzln
