If this isnt in the right part, im sorry,

but Usually when i turn the volume up and down, i see green thing on the bottom left of my screen that says Volume, and has bars to show how high my volume is, but now, i dont see it, or anything when i turn my volume up and down.

i know this may be a stupid or little problem, but it agrivates me.

does anyone know what to do about fixing this?

Hi Iron Smile.

Volume bars show because you have installed an additional program that displays this. You will need to identify this program or driver and reinstall it. These types of add-on programs are very fragile and regularly break. You are better off without it unless you like to keep reinstalling the same program over and over again.

Just a guess: Did you install a program or driver for your keyboard ? This could be the one.

What version of MusicMatch? New MM (Yahoo) or old MM?

I don't believe it reflects sound bars at all, so it must be soundcard software or some other program...but I don't have the Yahoo version.

I have XP Home and either 7 or 10 works on my systems, with 10 currently installed.

Your version might have had file corruption, which would cause you to say that it did not work...I don't know.

In any case, go Start/Run type in msinf32 and then click Components/Multimedia/Sound Device. Tell me what it reads.

Also...click System Summary, look to the right. Tell me what is listed beside System Manufacturer and System Model.

If you have a Dell, Compaq, Gateway, etc. system...can you provide the exact model name/number?

That program should be typed MSINFO32 (in upper, lower or mixed letter case).

Here's all the drivers for an HP Pavillion 524W desktop PC. Download and install the keyboard/mouse driver update.

Louis was refrreing to your "sound card" (not "soundcard"). As it turns out, your PC has a sound chip. These are both known as "sound adapters" and come either as a plug-in board or a chip built into the motherboard.
