Heya,

So I bought a Sony recorder from Best Buy for $100 and it sucks ass - now I want cheaper and better - yes that's crazy but ONLINE buying is cheaper and better... a friend of mine directed me towards this link:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...boutThisProduct

^ The sound quality of that is amazing! However, being the person I am I tried looking for ones similiar in Tigerdirect newegg and found the following:

Olympus VN-4100 256MB Digital Voice Recorder 141923 at TigerDirect.com

So anyone who which is better or what the difference is?

Would appreciate any help I could get

Dunno about audio gear, but I do know that you can get some good deals at BestBuy (and other retailers) if you spend the time to shop online first. I get a lot of discounts in a lot of different places - but sometimes you've just gotta see what you're buying before you buy it - and that's what the major retailers are all about.

A quick visit to http://www.pricegrabber.com (my favorite online shopping tool) will give you an idea of prices online - then a visit to the local retailers will give you a comparison. And, even though it may not be as cheap as online - there's always something to be said about being able to walk out of the store with it in your hand (rather than waiting for delivery or the spending the extra money for overnight shipping).
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
