Okay, I'm sure everyones heard this but new to wireless....... Okay so quick question and I'll make it short and simple. Big house, one wireless Router, need to get wireless to the other end of it. What can be purchased to extend or amplify the signal? Need it because there are no extra cable outlets where the other computer is. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
The Idiot

Bonneville,

Like netgear much? It would be nice if you links were descriptive and non biased.

Linksys, and d-link also offer several alternatives along with several others.

bleepingidiot, you should check out smallnetbuilder.com for non biased reviews of networking hardware.

**Warning, Opinion Follows!**
I would advise avoiding Netgear wireless devices like the plague. I've had nothing but trouble with my Netgear stuff up to and including the driver causing my machine to crash randomly. I've had much better experiences with Belkin and Linksys products.
**End Opinion**

 Hiya,

RandomUser,

I neither like or dislike Netgear systems, I was simply pointing the way forwards to the question raised. Being biased is not on my agenda, everyone has the option to purchase whatever equipment they wish, I prefer Bt's own router for wireless equipment and that is definately not NetGear systems.

Regards,

Tony.

Bonneville, Don't take my smart-alic comments to heart. I was simply saying at the least, make the link descriptive so the user knows where they're going. IE

NETGEAR.com or the FQDN with/ or without nested page appendages.

I've noticed several post like that.

No hard feelings ok?
